The Omaha North Vikings Girls Swim team opened the 2017-18 season with a 2nd place finish at the 7th annual Benson SWIMvite on December 2. Sixteen swimmers scored points for the Vikings.
The girls demonstrated their depth in the freestyle relays. The 200 Freestyle Relay teams finished 1st and 3rd overall, with the 400 Freestyle Relay teams finishing 2nd and 4th. Three individuals won events: Julienne Kemper in the 100 breaststroke, Anna Kay Sitzman in the 500 freestyle, and Vienne Kemper earned an automatic state qualifying time while winning the 100 butterfly.

Gabby Push (3rd place, 100 backstroke; 3rd place, 200 freestyle)
Haylea Nolan (6th place, 100 backstroke)

The Boys’ session of the Benson SWIMvite was interrupted during the 3rd event by a power outage. The meet has been rescheduled for Wednesday, December 20 at Monroe Middle School.
